Europe 2015: Lyon, France

Lyon was short but sweet (literally, considering all the macaroons we ate!)  We stayed in the cute neighborhood of Bellecour and had fun exploring different pockets of this charming city.  We tried to squeeze in a little bit of everything -- from historic Old Town Lyon (Vieux Lyon) to the modern Confluence Museum (Musee de Confluences) -- I think we covered quite a bit!

We checked out some fun exhibits at the  Museum of Contemporary Art which was conveniently located right outside the Parc de la Tête d'Or (the "Central Park" of Lyon).  It was a perfect way to spend the afternoon checking out art, then walking through the park along the Rhône River.

No Lyon trip would be complete without trying local eats and treats though of course!  Lyon, as we learned, is arguably one of the world's top gastronomic capitals.  We definitely enjoyed our fair share of local bouchons and plenty of other bakery and street delights.

There is literally a carousel on almost every corner in this town too.  Its an adorable characteristic of Lyon and of course fun for Bash!  Thank you Lyon for having us!  We enjoyed exploring, seeing and eating our way around these last few days.  Up next: London town!  :)
